Welcome to America, we like to do things a little different here. We throw out common sense and justice and replace it with idiotic nonsense and get a carnival freak show instead. Our first exhibt is The 9 year old girl arrested for stealing a bunny. Yes stealing is bad, her parent(s) probably have not taught her that and/or provide a poor example by their behavior. But really handcuffing her? Was that really necessary? If I was 9, hell even today if the police came to talk to me I'd be scared enough that handcuffs wouldn't be necessary to teach me not to steal. The worst thing is though that even though this was a bit over the top to scare her straight, the fact that it's in the media now will only reverse the effect. What will happen is people will rally to this child and say "aww you poor child. mean police. you didn't do anything wrong." Wait, yes she did. But now she won't hear that message. She will get positive reinforcement that is focused on the punishment but will be confused with the crime she committed.
Now we have our second exhibit that only makes the first look that much more insane by comparison. Or less insane. Either way please read and enjoy...The Mother's Day we all want to avoid. This lady kills two of her kids and cripples the third under some lame idea that God told her to. And instead of going away for a long time or receiving the death penalty, (she lives in Texas) they found her not guilty by reason of insanity. She had a "condition" which prevented her from knowing right from wrong. Oh I'm sorry, I guess that makes it ok then. Seriously I don't care if it's a mother or father, anyone who takes the life of their own child should be executed. Period. Rats eat their young, humans shouldn't. I can't imagine a crime worse than harming your offspring. It goes against the whole point of having children. I mean who is going to do the dishes, take out the trash and mow the lawn for a lousy 10 bucks a week? You just can't hire that kind of help anymore.
